London´s The Times recently designated the Trabant to be the worst car ever built. What better reason to drive three of them halfway around the world? A team of eight young adventurers set off from Berlin on an epic overland journey to Cambodia on a mission to put this label to the ultimate test. Packed like sardines into vehicles never intended for such an undertaking, a diverse team and their plastic cars struggle for 5-months over 16,000 miles of grueling terrain through 22 countries. They survive in close quarters for months, sleeping on roadsides, and battling the elements all on a shoestring budget. ˙Minds and spirits are pushed to new limits as differing personalities begin to clash. Who will crumble first the team or the Trabants? "Trabant Trek" is the tale of how eight young travelers manage to band together nursing three complete wrecks halfway around the globe in an effort to help others in need. This dilapidated adventure offers a fresh new angle to travel.
